Pediatric Liver Transplant Services
The Children's Liver Program enables pediatric patients and their families to adjust to life before and after liver transplantation. The center provides an atmosphere conducive to flexibility and the opportunity to explore all the options provided by a specialized transplant team that includes surgeons, pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric nephrologists, pediatric infectious disease team, a pediatric dietitian, pediatric transplant coordinator and a transplant social worker.
The following services are available to children with liver disease:
- Case management and evaluation
- General pediatric surgery as well as transplant surgery
- Treatment of acute and chronic liver failure
- Treatment of end-stage liver disease
- Pre-transplant evaluatio
- Post-transplant management and follow-up
